GED Sample Essay Questions
GED Sample Essay QuestionsGED sample essay questions come in a variety of formats. You should be able to understand the essay format that you will be asked to write. Understanding the essay format is imperative to making a good grade on the essay portion of the test. You do not want to write an essay with a format that requires you to answer in an obscure way.The most common format that you will be asked to write your essay in is one of two format forms. Either a two-paragraph format or a three-paragraph format. In each case, the question will be in the form of a pair of parallel strings. The first part of the question begins with the first paragraph and the second part begins with the second paragraph. A question of this type will often contain a list of five parallel strings which correspond to the seven sets of paragraphs that you will be asked to compose. If you are asked to compose two paragraphs, you will be asked to follow one string at a time as it parallels the preceding para llel strings. Each of the following two paragraphs must be a new paragraph. If you are asked to compose three paragraphs, you will be asked to follow one string of three paragraphs at a time. The following three paragraphs must be new paragraphs. If you are asked to compose four paragraphs, you will be asked to follow one string of four paragraphs at a time. This string of four paragraphs must be a new paragraph.Often, the grammar questions on these types of essay samples are short and simple. If your grammar skills are poor, you may not be able to make sense of the questions that you are asked to answer. If you take a look at many of the GED student sample essays, you will see that they typically do not contain the standard paragraph breaks. It is common for these types of essay questions to have questions that begin with the words 'using four paragraphs.' As a result, you should be able to tell the intent of the question fairly easily, especially if you have some experience in writin g.All in all, it is not difficult to understand the structure of the essay questions. You just need to be able to focus on answering the questions as they are provided to you and not worry about understanding the essay structure. This is important, because you do not want to know how to answer the questions, but rather how to answer them in a manner that results in you obtaining a GED.
